This is an ideal role for a chef looking to take the next step up in their career and have a meaningful impact on our developing business. We operate 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, evening service so expect a varied, interesting and challenging role working alongside a dynamic team.

We look to our senior team to help shape the product and experience for our customers using a weekly kitchen table meeting to discuss all things product including tasting, refining and agreeing the next round of product changes.

The sous chef role will require approx. 48 hours per week, across 4 days.

Key responsibilities...

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day running of the kitchen alongside the head chef including stock management, staffing and ensuring we are set for each day
  • Support the head chef in achieving a GP of 70%
  • Train and develop all team members supporting their development pathway
  • Innovate the monthly menu change using influence from seasonal, local ingredients
  • Attend and occasionally host the weekly kitchen table in the head chef's absence
  • Build a strong rapport between kitchen and front of house team discussing upcoming events, large bookings and keeping communication flowing for day-to-day service


Suitable candidates should have....

  • Worked at a CDP role or higher within a similar sized kitchen
  • A passion for training their immediate team creating a unique and driven working environment
  • Ambition to develop within our busy business
  • Previous experience in stock control, menu changes and a passion for local seasonal ingredients
