This is one of the most important positions in our business. This person will be the first impression of our business. This person loves people and is passionate about making people happy and providing the best possible customer service. This persons glass is always half full and has a positive outlook on life. This person thrives in busy and challenging environments and is never flustered. This person is like a swan, whilst they may be paddling furiously beneath, the exterior is calm, elegant and graceful. This person is organized
and like systems and they get on well with everyone they meet.


Scope of the position:
To welcome each and every person visiting The Assembly House and provide the best first impression possible

Hours of Work
• The shift pattern will be linked to the demands of the business however core working hours will be
40 - 45 hours
• 5 days per week out of 7 day week
• Hours of work will fluctuate with the needs of the business but core shifts will be a period between
9am and 7.30pm
• A set working week would be considered for the right applicant


Salary / Pay
• Salary negotiable depending on experience

Key Duties
• Check the ‘what’s on’ board in the stone hall has the correct information
• Check in guests at the reception desk and take payment and details where necessary
• Take bedroom bookings using the welcome booking system and amend bookings
• Take restaurant bookings on Open table
• Check table plans ready for service
• Input details on Rendezvous for events and payments
• Taking gift voucher payments and organizing gift voucher sales
• Bedroom payments on check in and check out, recording information and putting through tills
• Taking event deposits and recording in correct way on tills
• Taking Grand Hall payments from customers at tables
• Hand guests over to restaurant host if a restaurant booking
• Assist in seating guests in restaurant areas where needed
• Walk people to the event room and introduce them to the member of staff looking after them.
• Provide information for all products and services that the Assembly house has to offer
• Provide information about bedrooms; restaurant service times, parking, opening times etc to all guests checking in
• Conduct bedroom ‘walk rounds’ to guests checking in to hotel.
• Keep reception desk and host station tidy and presentable at all times
• Stock up all house literature in all areas and sales literature on host station
