About the role:

  • One day per week - typically Saturday (weddings!)
  • Evening work required - shift lengths vary between 5 -12 hours
  • £12.40+ per hour, depending on age
  • Flexible, but regular weekend availability preferred
  • Occasional midweek shifts available during peak wedding season
  • Opportunity to pick up ad-hoc shifts across our wider events calendar (from parties to pop-ups)
  • Own transport strongly recommended due to late finishes

About you:

  • Exceptional customer service is a must.
  • You can talk confidently to the customers about our products, values and history.
  • Show your passion for the brand to every customer and convey what makes us unique.
  • Deal with hiccups from time to time. Practice transparency and use effective communication to deal with curveballs.
  • Enjoy the energy and pace of a wedding. Happy to be on your feet all day and shift through the gears when the demand dictates a little more haste.
  • Use our systems and structures to deliver A to B.

Weddings at Stables: You’ll be based in Stables, our modern, rustic-luxe event space tucked just behind The Ffolkes. We host vibrant, joyful weddings most Saturdays, and we’re on the lookout for friendly, reliable people to help make the magic happen. From ceremony prep to late-night dance floors, you’ll be part of the crew that keeps everything running smoothly.

It’s a hands-on role - think moving furniture, topping up prosecco, passing canapés, and being an all-round legend on someone’s most important day. You’ll work closely with our events team to create a seamless experience from start to finish, with lots of laughs and high-fives along the way.

The brand: The Ffolkes is a 300-year-old coaching inn. Refurbished in 2022, the business is the youngest member of our family. 140 covers inside with a feature bar and lounge. Approx. the same covers in our enclosed garden area. 22 unique bedrooms, (including the latest addition, The Hayloft and Spa Cabins!) https://www.ffolkes.org.uk/rooms The Stables events space is separate to the main building, with its own kitchen, and accommodates weddings, celebrations and corporate. https://www.stables.org.uk With the FfolkesSPA launching in the Autumn Privately owned company.
