The Assembly House is looking for an ASSISTANT PASTRY CHEF to join the most exciting kitchen in Norfolk and working alongside pastry royalty.
This is an incredible opportunity to work at Norwich’s most prestigious address in a full-time, salaried role making cakes, pastries and desserts as part of Mark Mitson’s award-winning team.

Head pastry chef Mark trained in Switzerland and has decades of experience, including long stints in the finest West End hotels and is recognised as one of Britain’s finest patissiers – he is one of the only chefs credited in Delia Smith’s cookery books where his recipes appear.
Due to ever-increasing levels of business and exciting new plans for 2020, we are recruiting to fill this exciting role which will include weekend work and very occasional evening work. You will work five days out of seven and will be provided with meals on duty. A very competitive salary is on offer, dependent on experience, in addition to an equal part share of healthy gratuities.
The ideal candidate will be passionate and professional about pastry, relish working within a fast-paced environment and have experience in a similar position. You will have creative flair, incredible attention to detail and be committed to expanding your existing skill set. Our desirable candidate thrives in a team environment but also has the ability to work on their own initiative and calmly when under pressure.
Candidates will have a structured, steady career path at The Assembly House, will need to provide evidence of their work and references will be required.
