MEET THE TEAM

ROSIE FARROW, BYFORDS

With nearly 11 years under her belt, Rosie is part of the Byfords furniture! Rosie has worked herself through the ranks with her can-do attitude and determination and is now the Byfords Store Manager. In her spare time, she focuses on her wellbeing and health and does many charitable events, and is hoping to do the Trek 24, for East Anglian Air Ambulance when events can resume again.

What was your journey into (and through) the business?

I started at Byfords almost 11 years ago. I started as part of the Front of House team, working my way up to Restaurant Shift leader to Supervisor and then on to become the Store Manager.

What is one of the best or most worthwhile investments you’ve ever made? (Could be an investment of money, time, energy, etc.)

Honestly?! It’s been to dedicate time every day for personal development and self-care. I have a morning routine that I do NOT miss, ever! I get up each day, I drink a glass of water, I practice gratitude, I read 30 minutes of whatever personal development book I’m currently engrossed in, this week is The Wim Hof Method! I then workout, walk the dog (usually listening to a podcast), I shower and go to work. This has substantially changed my outlook on life and what I can achieve when I put my mind to it!

In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?

As above! Creating a consistent routine incorporating personal development and regular physical activity has most definitely changed my life.

What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?

I wouldn’t call it absurd as such but I’m a bit of a hoarder! If I find something I like, like a leggings brand, for example, I end up collecting them all! I think I’m close to 200 pairs (maybe more!)

I also have an obsession with leopard print everything!

What keeps you motivated?

For me, it’s not about always being motivated. It’s about being disciplined. Showing up every day with consistency. Creating a routine that fits my lifestyle and ultimately pushes me to be my best self.

What's your most memorable moment working in the business?

Being given the opportunity to travel to Amsterdam with the management team to visit the Nike Headquarters. It was honestly one of the most eye-opening, amazing experiences of my Byfords career!

What is your advice for future team members?

Go all in! Say yes to every learning opportunity. Never be afraid to ask questions.

If you could have a gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it — metaphorically speaking, getting a message out to millions or billions — what would it say and why It could be a few words or a paragraph.

  • Success doesn’t come from what we do occasionally, it comes from what we do consistently.
  • If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.
  • Nothing that lasts is accomplished quickly.
  • Hope is not a strategy.
