Hidden Talents is looking for a talented full-stack web developer to design, build and sustain successful products for a group of leading Norfolk businesses. Based in Holt (north Norfolk), this role is a brilliant opportunity for someone wanting to channel their talents into a number of projects with long-term appeal and commercial objectives.

Candidates should be able to make key decisions regarding infrastructure, hosting, and user experience. Front-end design skills (or at least an eye for UX design) would be ideal but not mandatory. Integrations will be a large part of the role. Our businesses use many powerful, off-the-shelf systems that we would like to start better integrating with each other through various APIs.

Examples of projects include:

  • Creation of a new online booking platform (rooms.norfolkpassport.com)
  • Creation of a new ‘People Platform’ to handle staff on-boarding across seven businesses
  • Progressing our membership programme, Norfolk Passport (currently 85,000 members) with big data management and further system integrations across the group
  • Working on a pioneering feedback platform currently generating thousands of responses each year
  • Developing NEW products and platforms for our businesses to both improve process and create additional commercial opportunities
  • Using initiative to develop cost and time savings within existing systems and infrastructure

Candidates will be working in a very entrepreneurial environment surrounded by positive people striving to achieve excellence in all areas of the businesses.

Experience is preferable in:

  • Modern PHP Frameworks (Laravel 5.6+, Symfony 2.8+)
  • Composer
  • Git
  • Sass
  • Vagrant
  • Consuming third party Rest/XML APIs

Desirable experience also in:

  • Craft CMS (very easy to pick up)
  • Vue JS (bit of a learning curve, but not too difficult to learn)

Also, we fully support candidates wanting to learn and push themselves, even if they cannot tick all of the above boxes. We work with passionate people and in turn, create a working environment where passionate and talented people can thrive.

For candidates wanting to work remotely, this is something we can discuss and accommodate where possible.

Salary: Based on experience
Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays
