One of Norfolk's most vibrant brands seeks a Head Chef for the kitchen.
The Pigs, Edgefield has sat proudly at the forefront of local, honest, British cuisine since establishing in 2006. We seek the role of Head Chef to lead a team of six and focus on delivering a thumbs-up experience for our customer.
Our ideal candidate will need dedication, hard graft, exceptional communication and great leadership skills to run The Pigs kitchen. With an experienced senior management team in each department, The Pigs has a great structure for success and will provide an aspirational and sustainable environment for the chosen candidate.
Our focus on the Pigs food has centred around three core values; Honest, British and Quirky. We have a set of core/classic dishes that people return for and we challenge ourselves to a fortnightly menu change for more seasonal dishes. The Pigs has three clear services per day with Breakfast beginning at 8am for residents and non-residents, Lunch 12pm - 2.30pm and Dinner from 5pm. Sunday food is served all day from 12pm - 8pm. The kitchen shifts vary between split shifts and straights dependant on rota cover and needs of the business, however we welcome fresh views in running a modern and sustainable kitchen team.
The Pigs has a turnover of £2.5m with an exceptional occupancy in the spa bedrooms of over 95%.
The Head Chef will be invited to join Tier 1 of our 'Cluster Enterprise Scheme' and will be rewarded for the merits of not only The Pigs but our sister Businesses too (Byfords, Holt and The Ffolkes, Hillington).
At Tier 1 level you will have the chance to jump on board with innovation groups to help drive the product forward and keep our brands competitive. We will support the candidate with a development toolbox helping to provide a clear road map of creating the best possible environment.
