About the Role

Cafe Chef

  • Full-time

  • Starting from £9.50 per hour
  • 5 days a week
  • 2-week shift patterns
  • Weekends/ Weekdays/ Evenings
  • Early shifts will work on our cold section on a select menu, while evening shifts you'll get to work on our stoves or grazing sections for our separate dinner menu.
  • Prior to starting with us, we will bed you into the kitchen with a range of sessions with our head chef, sous chef and junior sous so when we re-open you can hit the ground running and enjoy the rush of our kitchen.

About you:

  • You enjoy a task-based environment- you motor through head chef prep lists with uncanny efficiency. Customers get their food on time, every time!
  • A keen eye for detail. Every plate of food must be of the same great quality. You dislike sloppiness.
  • You enjoy food and have a solid knowledge of ingredients and flavours.
  • You are adaptable to new menus and new ideas. Head chefs will always be experimenting and plotting new creations, and they will need your help to execute every menu with each new season. There is room for your input if you have a passion to contribute and learn.
  • You are a hardy soul who enjoys physical work in a hot and fast environment.

We serve delicious food throughout the day, as well as the Store serving freshly prepared takeaway food, and the Posh B&B that consists of 16 uniquely designed rooms.
